  4. Main Traditional Action: Reduces fever and inflammation and reduces ama
  5. Other Traditional Uses: Analgesic, anti-asthmatic, antifungal, carminative, and antispasmodic, and helps in treatment of joint pains, gout, sciatica, headaches, diarrhoea, ulcers, skin disorders, reproductive disorders, and obesity.

 

Modern Research

Deodar cedar and its components have been shown to have antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, antimicrobial, antifungal, antiulcer, anticancer, immunomodulatory, and antihyperlipidemic, effects. It has also been shown to induce apoptosis in human cancer cells and stabilize mast cell activity and inhibit leukotriene synthesis
