Ayurvedic Chai


Deacon’s Ayurvedic Chai (3-4 servings)
3 Cups purified water
2 teaspoons of loose Rooibis
1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
4 pods cardamom (cracked) or 1/2 teaspoon of podless cardamom seeds
2 teaspoons freshly grated ginger
1 cup of dairy milk or nut milk of your choice

In a saucepan, bring all ingredients (except the milk) and let simmer for 2-3 minutes. Then add the milk, and bring to a boil, making sure the mixture doesn’t boil over. Strain and savor!  

(Samantha says if you sweeten it with organic rose syrup, you may grow wings.)
